This beanie is knitted as a flat piece and then sewed together along one edge to make a tube. The seam is chunky and uncomfortable. It’s also right alongside the logo tag, which makes no sense as it forces you to wear the logo on the back of your head. The band that actually goes around your ears and forehead is properly knitted with a stretch pattern (alternating knit/purl to form a cable), but then for no apparent reason it’s folded inside the hat and sewn in place, so all the stretch is null and void. Like — why bother knitting a stretch cuff only to fix it in place so it isn’t stretchy at all? This hat would fit a lot more sizes of heads if that hadn’t been done. I bought this hat to stuff my dreads inside and still rock that slouchy look, and it does fit all my 15” locs, but the lame chunky seam and then the non-stretch cuff are deal-breakers. The only thing I’m going to use this hat for is to copy the pattern (using circular needles) and make my own version. I’m no expert knitter but I can certainly do better than YoCO did! Ugh.
I was attracted by the color (coral)! As it's a spring shade and not wool I can wear this season as it gets warmer. I still frequently wear a beanie as my hair is thinning and this is comfortable and cute with the sloutchy profile
Love the slouchyness!!
Super impressed with this slouch Beanie! Fits perfectly and slouches exactly how it should slouch. I'm loving it... plan to get another color. Props.
So soft, by far my favorite hat
