Since 1938, the National Ski Patrol—our neighbors right here in Lakewood, Colorado—has helped protect skiers, riders, and mountain adventurers across the country. Every day, patrollers are on the slopes and trails doing the quiet, essential work that keeps us safe: stabilizing injuries, managing avalanche terrain, assisting families in distress, and responding when the unexpected happens.

With more than 30,000 patrollers nationwide, most of them volunteers, the National Ski Patrol is a nonprofit organization that provides extensive training and education to prepare these mountain heroes for whatever the day brings.
