Why would the world’s largest single-location brewery pick a small-batch, 10-year old outdoor apparel company, with a vintage surf and ski vibe, to design a new, collaborative line of merchandise commemorating their 150th anniversary?

We like to think it’s because we share many of Coors’ most valued principles for quality, entrepreneurialism and innovation. We also try to run our business similarly to how Coors did back in 1873 with thoughtfully created hand-crafted products.  It might also have something to do with the fact that we both share the same
beautiful hometown of Golden, CO – a historic, small town nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains where the adventurous West still lives and inspires our work and products every day. This past year, the legendary Coors brewery celebrated 150 years of building an incredible legacy, and we were proud to introduce a new apparel collection we built collaboratively with the team at Coors Banquet, to celebrate that wonderful legacy.  We invite you to come and see what’s new with YoColorado for 2024, when we’ll be releasing another exciting collab!

Blazing the Trail
Our story in Golden began over 10 years ago, with one vintage ski beanie design.  Inspired by vintage designs from the 70's and 80's, my partner and I set off across the mountains of Colorado seeking out mom-and-pop shops who would be
willing to give this single product a try in their store, and since then we've worked hard to build it into the little apparel brand it is today.
Lots of folks ask us how we came up with the name “YoColorado”.  It's simply a play on words that borrows from the term "Yo!" - a way people have begun saying hello to each other in recent years, so our name is another way of saying “Hello, Colorado!”
Now that we’ve proudly grown our small brand from one beanie into a full line of clothing and accessories, we hope you’ll visit our store when you’re in downtown Golden - or online at yocolorado.com - to come see what’s new as we continue our expedition into the world of outdoor fashion and try out some of the colorful, vibrant gear we pour our heart and soul into!

Reimagining Outdoor Fashion
YoColorado is an outdoor apparel brand with one specific aim: reimagining what it means to be fashionable in the great outdoors.  In a fast-moving world, where everything seems to move a lightning speed, we aim to be a part of the slow fashion movement.  What does that mean exactly, you may ask?
By keeping our collections limited to smaller batches, and using materials that are high-quality and designed to last longer, we hope to minimize our impact on this beautiful world by slowing the turnover down a bit.  This season our styles are inspired by Mother Nature, infused with happiness, and created with love.  We take pride in every aspect of what we produce to ensure nothing but good vibes and fun adventures ahead!

For all of you who have supported our little clothing brand over the years, we sincerely thank you!  And for those of you who are first crossing our path - our expedition into this world of retro-inspired gear - we'd like to welcome you into our little family and hope you enjoy all the vibrant colors, the outdoor-isnpired gear, and the groovy vibes.  It's been an incredible journey and we can't wait to show you what we have in the works for the coming years.
