Dedicated in 1998, the Clear Creek Whitewater Park is one of Golden’s most unique recreational attractions. Built for recreational canoeing and kayaking, the course is one quarter of a mile of adventurous, splashing fun!
Cache La Poudre River

The Cache la Poudre River Canyon hosts a myriad of recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. From whitewater rafting (class III-IV rapids), hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and fishing, to winter sports like snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling, the Canyon is the perfect place to get away from it all, all year round.
Boulder Creek

A bike path parallels the creek the entire way. You can get in and out anywhere along that path. There are numerous cross streets where you can find parking. You can start as high as Eben G. Fine park and float to the east side of town at 55th street. Use caution anytime you are on the creek. Conditions change daily. Don’t tube upstream of Eben G. Fine whitewater park. Steep, rocky, class V rapids exist. That is where people most commonly get hurt.

Yampa River

Yampa River is the only free-flowing river in Colorado. It’s not obstructed anywhere by dams or diversions along its 261 miles. Popular spot for tubing, fishing, and kayaking. Tube rentals are available at a number of sporting shops downtown.
